Extended Days
Extended Days were created to provide an opportunity for children to stay a few hours beyond their actual preschool day or to add an extra session to their schedule. The extra time gives children opportunities to explore new themes that incorporate science, the arts, and social learning.
Currently our extended day programs are offered two afternoons per week. Lunch Bunch is offered to children in our Prekindergarten classroom on Wednesdays. Lunch Bunch is available to children in the Morning 3s class and Prekindergarten. Children may sign up weekly to stay until 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon.
Food Lab Friday is offered to all children in the 3s Program. This class performs fun science experiments using food. Like Lunch Bunch, children may sign up weekly to participate from 11:30 to 2:00.
Our Extended Days includes time for a packed lunch, outdoor play, hands-on classroom experiences, as well as opportunities for creativity through arts and crafts projects.
Sign up information is sent out monthly to enrolled parents. The fee is $30 and sign up is on a weekly basis.
